The highway guardians

Going back from the south of Portugal towards Lisbon we pass a those huge electric poles.  I am amazed every time i see them. Nothing special about them really. They just stand there. So huge, so tall with the arms spread wide holding the lines. All connected with each other.

And they look even better when the sun starts to set... The majestic silhouettes watching over hundreds of passing cars.

Are you going to spend some time in Lisbon ... we're here right now for our For 91 Days and are loving it. And I'm glad you didn't drive and snap pictures. If it would have been me driving I might couldn't have resisted. Beautiful!

I am glad I didn't have to drive. I had the poles, the sun and the camera all for me :D
