EURO 2020 will soon be rolling from June 11 to July 12, 2021. The biggest championship on the European continent has been postponed due to the effects of the Covid-19 pandemic that hit. A number of the best 24 countries in Europe that have confirmed their qualification for EURO 2020 have prepared the best squads to achieve the highest supremacy of the European interstate football event.

2018 World Cup winners, France is still the seed in the 2020 edition of the European Cup. France is favored because it has some of the best players from goalkeepers to attackers. Starting from goalkeepers Hugo Lloris, Raphael Varane, Karim Benzema, N'Golo Kante, Paul Pogba, Kylian Mbappe, to Antoine Griezmann. While Portugal, which is the defending champion of Euro 2016 is also still a favorite.

***However, there are several dark horse teams that are expected to surprise at EURO 2020.***

From Group B, which is inhabited by the favorite teams of Belgium, Finland, Russia and Denmark, which is expected to be ready to give a surprise. At EURO 2021, Turkey will be joined by favorites Italy, Wales and Switzerland in Group A. Wales are also expected to surprise EURO 2020 this time. At the EURO 2016 event, Wales made a surprise by qualifying for the semifinals before being defeated by Portugal with a score of 0-2 through goals from Cristiano Ronaldo and Luis Nani who eventually became champions.

Wales is currently strengthened by a number of young talents, such as Neco Williams, Harry Wilson, Ethan Ampadu, Tyler Roberts, Daniel James, and Joe Rodon as well as senior players Gareth Bale. Ukraine, who are in Group C along with the Netherlands, Austria and North Macedonia, are also expected to surprise at EURO 2021. Andriy Shevchenko will lead a number of emerging names, such as Roman Yaremchuk, Oleksandr Zinchenko, Andriy Yarmolenko and Ruslan Malinovsyi. Ukraine has not lost in the last six matches ahead of EURO 2020.

I think Italy remains the favorite to qualify for Group A, but Turkey and Wales will make the competition in this group even tighter.
