The fact that I got laid of is still on my mind but a little less so

My old employer offered me an outplacement package as part of the severance.  Today was my first real appointment

The getting to know meeting was last week and there I made the decision to accept this offer.

This will be a 3 month process where we will have a weekly meeting and during that time I will get to go through different steps that will bring me closer to a new job or career.  The different ventures I am starting in the crypto world might also offer some opportunities and are currently my plan A. But one must always have a plan B

They divide this process in 4 distinct sections and then tailor these to the individual they are helping out.

## my motivation:

I am clearly still in part 1 but this promises to really be an interesting process and something that not everyone will go through in their lives. 
That is either because they never get fired or because as a normal working person you cannot afford this unless your company pays for it (I know how much and its really really expensive, I could never pay for this)

## The reason I am doing this is twofold.

I have decided to make part of this public where it might help out some of you here on Steem.
Most of this will be tailored to me personally but I assume that there is going to be enough material that can be generalized and poured into a weekly post.

If these tips only help one of you (that is in a less fortunate situation then me) and if through this someone will be able to get a bit of an edge and obtain a new job I would personally find this worth the effort

We are moving into a sharing economy and this is what I will try to achieve here sharing the intellectual wealth i am receiving with you all.

The other reason is a bit more personal but I feel that by writing this all down it will sink in better for me and will allow me to process this whole thing a bit more efficiently.  I often feel that when I blog about something I tend to remember and understand it better after.
