good review. I agree with much you say about both positives and negatives. I find it frustrating that you have to post before midnight (although so far I have remembered to do so). The app does store a record of your activity (I think whether you post it or not - because my first day I didn't have it set up right and only recorded 500 so couldn't post such a low number, and that is still in my app). The second option on the menu (view tracking history) should show all your activity, posted or not, per day. When I post it I try to make it look nicer by including some photos I have taken on my walks, so it isn't just a "who cares how many steps you've done?" post. I know what you mean about setting it up... but once it's done it's ok. I just can't be boothered with editing after in steem or busy. Im used to wordpress/ steempresd which is just so much more user friendly. Hence the alt account! Im going bare bones with mine. I might design a footer to link to my main account.
