Hello Steemians, I think this is the first post you’re supposed to write when arriving on Steemit, but I’m just getting to know how things work around here. 


It’s a bit hard for me to introduce myself because I don’t know which of my many faces should do the talking. So instead of defining who I am, I’ll share a bit of my life story.

I was born in Chile into a couple of young college students, during the time when the country was beginning to step out of a dictatorial regime. They had been united by their political points of view and later in life were separated by them.


You see, they both believed in peace and democracy. They were both idealists, but time pushed one to the right, and the other to the left. My father was inclined to better society through reason and logic, and my mother strived to improve it from the heart. That shouldn’t be a problem, but you know how it is… sometimes the heart and reason can’t stand each other.


I write the before because at this point in life I can see the big influence it had on me to be a spectator of their life and choices. Trying to understand them both just drove me into deeper and deeper confusions. My life has been a constant swing around on extreme periods of logical thinking, and extreme times of heart led impulses.


Being both of my parents professionals, they built my life around the idea that I should also be a professional. Of course they were thinking of a future of economic stability, and the steady routine that people struggle to call happiness.


As many kids and teens, I just followed along. I tried to be a “good boy” as much as I could. Biggest conflict that would arise was my father would get pissed at me for playing videogames instead of doing homework. Big fights and all but it didn’t escalate.


All went according to the grownups plans until one day at a school trip, a friend placed a Rhapsody of Fire CD on the radio. I got hooked instantly and next thing I knew I was learning to play the guitar, forming a metal band and traveling to a close by town a couple of times a week to rehearse and play gigs. 


At first this meant no problem, but when my school grades came in the bomb exploded. From being one of the top students I had gone below average. My mom was just happy I was doing what I like, but my dad… well you can imagine. 


Along with the music also came popularity, girls and alcohol. Suddenly my boring “good boy” life had color, sound, emotion and things to actually be excited about. This was the real thing and I wasn’t gonna let an angry fucker take it away.


Shit this is taking to long. Are you still with me? It wasn’t my intention to go into so much detail but too many memories are just flushing in. There is just so much to tell, so many things have happened, including me living in the forest, going off to walk the world with no equipment or money, diving deep into drugs, meeting my soul… too much for one post.
