<p>My name is Matěj Krejčiřík and I’m 22 years old student. I study Information science, but the studies aren’t that hard so I have a lot of time to further study anything I want. Recently I was interested in Physics, Astrology, Neurobiology, Daniel Dennett’s philosophy and finally Blockchain, Cryptocurrencies and Anarchocapitalism! I play Ultimate Frisbee and have made it into Czech National team during my 2nd season. Now I’m in my third. I’m a human being that gives every person equal chance to prove that he can contribute to me in any way. If it is so I love to engage with such a person, if it is not the case I politely end the interaction.</p>
<p>Once I would like to make my living with writing. Currently I’m working on my fantasy saga. Creation of the whole world apparently takes some time (few years already for me). Since I discovered Steemit, I immediately perceived it as one of the possible options how to fulfil my goal too. Right now I’m investing like 75% of my free time into Steemit. Therefore visiting of the Steemfest is a must in my eyes.</p>
<p>Sadly since 100% of my time is spent on sports, writing and studying, I don’t earn almost anything (that is like real big NOTHING), and I live just from the aliments from my father. Since I’m really modest I don’t need much (one can’t buy much from nothing anyway :D). Mom buys the food for me and pays what needs to be payed for our flat. From 2800 Crowns (something over 100 euro) I get every month I pay like 2000 (something under 100 Euro) for the Ultimate Frisbee (even though we invest as much time as we can to be like “pros” we still need to pay everything ourselves. That means I have like 800 Crowns per month (something over 30 Euros). As you can imagine, saving up for Steemfest in my situation is basically impossible.&nbsp;</p>
<h2>Life goals</h2>
<p>I can probably safely say that I have already found few life goals. &nbsp;</p>
<h3>Happiness</h3>
<p>The first, the most important, easily beating the rest is to seek happiness. But when I say happiness I mean genuine and unconditional happiness. Everything is after all a state of mind and by feigning happiness one might be able to persuade few that he’s happy, but deep down he will still know that it is not true. I can state that up until now I feel VERY happy.&nbsp;</p>
<h3>Self-improvement</h3>
<p>Second goal is the self-improvement. This obsession is not motivated by egoistic need to be better than someone, but rather by Less Wrong vision of being…well… less wrong in life – to be more effective, to have a background to lean on when you share your findings with others. If one dares to share his believes, one should be the living example.&nbsp;</p>
<h3>Change of the world</h3>
<p>Third is trying to change the world for what I deem better. The only instrument I have and use for that is the tongue, “pencil” (luckily PC since no one would be able to read what I wrote by my hand:D), and myself as an example. I believe there are universal truths and I seek them. When I THINK I uncovered some I act accordingly and share them. This is when it becomes tricky though. When you spend a lot of time trying to improve, you later see in others the same mistakes you have been doing before. Also less and less people can contribute TO you later on. Staying humble while helping others, while still being able to find those that will help you to improve (that means realizing you will never be perfect and that there always will be people that can do that) – that is the real challenge. The world I strive for is the one, where everyone would have equal chances to contribute to the community (world).</p>
<p>I think I can’t be more open about who I am what I do and what I seek in life. I will gladly answer any questions you might have guys, I’ve got nothing to hide.&nbsp;</p>

<h1>Steemfest</h1>
<p>Let me be honest. I’m here for one month. For that long I’m interested in Blockchain and cryptocurrencies. This is what this community is mostly about. What could I truly bring to the table? I want to go there to LEARN not to TEACH. By allowing me to go there you would allow another genuine person to meet a community formed by awesome people (that’s my first impression anyway), you would allow easy access to first-hand information about this site and about people who make this place what it is.&nbsp;</p>
<h2>Ultimate Frisbee</h2>
<p>There though is something how I could contribute. As far as I’m concerned, there is a lot of sports enthusiast on this platform. I happen to play a sport without referees. It’s one of the only sports that has held onto something called “Spirit of the game”. I truly believe that this sport could be met with sympathy by our community members. If there would be any park or beach around, I would like to organize a game, few games or a tournament. That would depend on the amount of interested players. The vision is that after whole day of speeches, presentations – basically high brain usage – we could unwind by playing an awesome peaceful sport. If you love sports read it :).&nbsp;</p>
<h2>Entertainment</h2>
<p>I’m all about meeting new people. I mean I’m really picky about that, but I’m not afraid of any non-aggressive verbal engagement. I swear that I would commit most of my time there to interact with people so we could share our points of view about basically anything. I’m also born entertainer, therefore I think people would enjoy the interaction as much as I would. I believe that if this community can offer something, it is people that can contribute to each other – I don’t want to miss out on that!&nbsp;</p>

<h1>Money needed for the trip</h1>
<p>I would of course go for the cheapest hotel @roelandp found for us, which is 75 E X 3/5. I would stay there for the whole duration if I had the money for it, but I would be grateful for anything of course.</p>
<p>Prize for a flight is hard to judge right now. I can’t afford it so I would need the money first and as you all well know those prizes change a lot. This is rough estimation of money needed. (Around 160 E but who knows where the prize will go – probably up)</p>

<p>I would of course welcome some pocket money, because with my 32 E for month I wouldn’t probably survive the trip:D. But then again I would probably find a way and would be grateful for anything.</p>

You have some great life goals! I can definitely relate. Whenever I went through college, I was in the same boat. The main thing is just staying focused and only dedicating your time to what's important. Keep up the great work and I hope you get to go to Steemfest!

Yea this is really hard in age ruled by information overflow. Selecting the important information is crucial you are right, but everyone fails to do so to an extent.
