According to [Jaideep Reddy](https://twitter.com/jrtechlaw), Counsel for IAMAI which is one of the petitioners in the case against the Reserve Bank of India has [stated](https://twitter.com/cryptokanoon/status/1086952014771355650) why the recent delay occurred once again.

1. Earlier reports suggested that the counsels were absent during the hearing but it wasn't the case. Court adjourned the matter as it was tied up with pre-scheduled matters. 

2. Counsel for exchanges has argued in court that constitutional validity of RBI banking ban should be heard as a separate issue than the Govt. Committee Report.

3. Court recognized that since business of exchanges is halted, validity of banking ban should be heard & decided.

4. Matter has been fixed towards the last week of February now. 

I will update when I find more accurate information on this matter. But as you can see this case is drawn out from over half a year now. I wonder if this will end by the time we get to the 1 year mark.
