Hi all!

These days I haven't been able to post anything because I've been busy with a chess tournament, I've been practicing these days and proposing some things to my chess coach *things that have to do with Steem and I'll post about it tomorrow*

It was an incredible tournament, but the place where they held the tournament was not ideal.In theory, the tournament would be 9 rounds, but a series of inconveniences occurred that made the tournament start a little late. Unfortunately the tournament was only 5 rounds. 

Chess in Nueva Esparta (the state where I live) is really big, here is an association called ASOAJEDRENE, which means chess association of the state Nueva Esparta. This association is in charge of organizing tournaments and creating athletes to represent us at the national level, I have participated in national tournaments, but due to the economic crisis that exists in my country, I have not been able to participate at the national level. Limiting myself only to participate in tournaments in my state. 

The tournaments usually cannot be done in an optimal way due to the resources that the association has at the moment, yesterday they made a tournament in the square of La Asunción. **How bad can it be to do a tournament in a public place?** *A lot.*

The atmosphere is nice and pleasant, but there are always many people who are not in the tournament making a lot of noise and, not knowing how things work in a chess tournament, begin to make questions to the players, something that distracts us and does not allow us to be concentrated.

It's logical to think: **and why aren't tournaments held in private places?** Well, this is almost always tried, but lately the chess association doesn't have the resources to rent private places to hold tournaments. I don't want to cover that topic so much because I want to reserve it for the post I plan to make tomorrow, but currently there are serious problems that affect the association and the chess community of Nueva Esparta in general.

As I said before, I was a youth champion in the tournament! I was sixth out of 87 participants, so I'm really proud of my result :) These tournaments are official, that is to say, they are tournaments endorsed by FIDE, having their respective official score (ELO) to compare the strength of the players at an international level. 

I'll use this post to say: hey, no matter your age or your resources. You can always start doing what you like and nothing will prevent you from having incredible results, everything remains in you and no one will stop you.
