Mi última cena antes de cuarentena fue un exquisito plato japonés de origen chino. Wao, que contrariedad. En realidad no es contradictorio, lo que pasa es que ordené una combinación de contornos y predominó gustosamente el sushi, el cual tiene su origen en la China clásica cuando empleaban el fermento del arroz como conservante de la proteína de pescado; no obstante, con el transcurrir de los años y el tráfico de mercancías, la cultura japonesa hizo suya esta práctica y la mejoró, la gastronomía evolucionó y se presenta en este delicioso bocado que esta servido en la mesa.

> My last meal before quarantine was a delicious Japanese dish of Chinese origin. Wao, what a bummer. Actually it's not contradictory, what happens is that I ordered a combination of outlines and sushi predominated tastefully, which has its origin in classic China when they used rice ferment as a preservative for fish protein; however, with the passing of the years and the traffic of goods, Japanese culture made this practice its own and improved it, gastronomy evolved and is presented in this delicious morsel that is served at the table.

Esa noche me regalé el derecho de ordenar a mi antojo y realmente lo cumplí. Recuerdo haber ordenado sushi con vegetales y algas marinas salpicadas de ajonjolí; el mesonero sorprendió al traer el plato adornado con trozo de camarones y aderezos. Era la noche de celebrar mi acostumbrada cena quincenal en un confortable restaurante.

> That night I gave myself the right to order as I pleased and I really did it. I remember ordering sushi with vegetables and seaweed sprinkled with sesame seeds; the waiter was surprised to bring the dish garnished with shrimp and dressings. It was the night to celebrate my usual biweekly dinner in a comfortable restaurant.

Mi esposo eligió full proteína mar y tierra. Una enorme parrilla con pollo, carne de res y mariscos en abundancia; la ensalada y papas fritas completarían el suculento plato, al cual no resistí la tentación y terminé probando varios bocados. Mi esposo no quedó en el camino, así que compartí el sushi con él y luego bebimos algunas copas de vino para el merecido proceso digestivo. Fue una noche muy linda, la última cena en un restaurante antes de iniciar el proceso de cuarentena y aislamiento social obligatorio.

> My husband chose full protein sea and land. A huge grill with chicken, beef and seafood in abundance; salad and chips would complete the succulent dish, which I could not resist and ended up trying several bites. My husband didn't fall by the wayside, so I shared the sushi with him and then we drank a few glasses of wine for the well-deserved digestive process. It was a very nice night, the last dinner in a restaurant before starting the process of quarantine and compulsory social isolation
