I remember that he always prepared his potatoes with milk, because my dad loved them, that it was nothing more than a simple white sauce with potatoes and cheese, a really comforting dish, I incorporated some personal touches to his original recipe, adding onions to the sauce and gratin the preparation with mozzarella cheese, a really delicious combination of flavors.

This recipe does not require many ingredients and can be made in two by three, only 30 minutes needed to have it ready, but come with me and I show you how easy and fast it is to prepare. <b>Enjoy!</b>

We begin by parboiling for 5 minutes, the potatoes that we have previously cut in cubes of 1 cm by 1 cm approximately. While the potatoes are cooking, add the butter and onions in another pot, which we fry until crystallized.

With the caramelized onions, add the wheat flour and cook it, stirring until it takes a beautiful golden color, at this point we are going to add the milk little by little, stirring constantly until our sauce thickens. When it begins to thicken add salt and pepper.

With the potatoes already cooked and our sauce ready, we only have to assemble our potatoes to take to the oven and grill, in the mold of your preference, add a portion of white sauce in the bottom and place the potatoes, which then bathe with sauce again until complete.

Crown with mozzarella cheese chopped into small cubes, and take to the oven preheated to 180 ° C for 10 minutes and then gratin until golden to taste, remove from oven and let rest about 15 minutes to enjoy. That's how easy and fast we have this delicious dish ready.
