Do you remember that last week [I went in search of the next crypto 10 bagger](https://steemit.com/qtum/@forexbrokr/in-search-of-the-next-crypto-10-bagger-what-is-qtum)? 

When I actually thought that it would be QTUM?

Oh man.  Yeah good one dipshit...

Not like any of the easy forex or CFD brokers will allow you to short this motherfucker, but for those of us holding longs that want to ride out the altcoin storm, you aren't going to like this chart:

### QTUM/USD 4 Hour

After a failed trend line break out [pre Mainnet release](https://steemit.com/qtum/@forexbrokr/4-hours-until-qtum-mainnet-release-10am-beijing), price has just been decimated since.

Price dropped straight through support, which has now been retested this time as resistance and continued lower again.

While Bitcoin is recovering (or at least dead cat bouncing for now...), I did say on Twitter today that the altcoins are waiting for BTC/USD to get back above the 4k support/resistance level before they move.  With price still having some time to go, the alts including QTUM aren't going anywhere as you can see above.

Patience my Padawans.  Patience...

QTUM  is a great project to put in money,,,, and major cryptocurrencies are recovering after the fake news about china banninig exchanges.
that means anyone who invested some money in the big dump that occured the last three day,, they will for sure make some profit,,at least 10% profit,,,, just have a look at the marketcap and you will see the change.

Yeah Steve, of course.  With China accounting for just 16% of total volume and crypto markets shedding more than 50%, of course buying the dip was obvious.

Doesn't make those investing pre-Mainnet in QTUM feel any better though.

Just into Crypto, and have made a small portfolio.
As I'm writing this it's down 20%, which is alot better than the 
37% it was down yesterday.
When I was watching the bottom fall out of the crypto market, my first thought was WTF, I've just blown the little I'd put in, But now I look at it as a very good and timely lesson in what can happen to my portfolio value.
I am not here to trade I am here to invest for the long term.
May the dead bouncing cat turn into a high flying ? spaceship (up and staying up.
