After a week of having painful wrists and forearms (and years of dealing with it on and off), I finally got an appointment to see what the heck is going on.
Over 10 years ago I had my wrists checked and I was literally bitched at as the nurse thought it was just because I was trying to get out of work.
What changed my mind to return to a clinic and have it checked? This has been the worst it has ever been, being last Friday. Friday morning it was hurting bad. I was trying to massage my arms in hopes to release some pain. When I went to cut up my daughters pancakes, I couldn't. It hurt.... to cut frigging pancakes... as if.

So I went to my appointment just this morning. *Woo.* - There is sarcasm in there.

It would seem that I may have a chronic case of bursitis. Now I say "may" because I don't see it as chronic. I quickly googled it and some of the pictures... ya it's scary and I'm not like that. If this is chronic... well what the hell was it that I just saw???

What is bursitis?

First time I hear of it. A quick look up, the definition is so:

> Bursitis is inflammation and swelling of a bursa. A bursa is a fluid-filled sac which forms under the skin, usually over the joints, and acts as a cushion between the tendons and bones.

I am still looking into this and I am taking the time to really know what my options are. But for now, going by what my nurse is telling me.... *I can't do anything for 2 weeks. Not even dishes*, as a testing or whatever.

This is where I am pissed off. This can apparently turn into arthritis. People can get surgery for it. So she says.

I AM A BAKER! I AM A MOM! .... I just.... I had to cancel 2 cake orders that I had to make for the weekend.... I have to heat the house with wood! And I can't even do dishes. Paper plates it is but... what about making the food. Forget about chopping carrots!

So I have to look up how to make this work out for me. Look up everything. Natural ways to make it better, how to avoid making it worse. All of it.

I can't even crochet!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! That means that blanket I was making as a gift... the one I started and broke on me and had to start over... Has to be put on pause. BLAH! I am just not happy.

Such is life I suppose. Reason why I want to get healthy... to avoid stupid crap like this.

So on I go, on the journey of researching. It's not that bad, I just have to get over the canceling of cake making. Things will be ok when I get the know how.

She told me that I do have to wear a brace, so one on both arms. For now I have been wrapping them  which does help make it feel better. After recovery is what I need to know and will be researching. I want to stop it and avoid it coming back.  I am not even sure if it's ok that I type lol. She just said to minimize everything that I do. Some things I can avoid but not everything :p

There are things I can't avoid doing. Unless I lived alone and heated with electricity and spent all my money on premade food lol. I still have to make the meals, clean, grab the wood for heating and all that fun stuff. But I make it work so that it is not as stressful on my wrists.

Thank you, it is hard to not do anything. But I try to be mindful, things that I would normally pick up with one hand I use both hands instead. I ask my kids to help more while my husband is at work.

I am trying to. There are things I can't avoid doing but I find ways to make it easier. I've noticed typing, if for long periods, I pay for it later. So if I really have to I put a time limit on it. It's hard to do absolutely nothing with my hands lol.

Does your wife do anything but hot and cold with anti inflammatories? Wondering if there is any miracle work lol. I read that massaging can make it worse so I will stay away from that. 
It seems to flare up on certain days. This time it's been over a week now that its attacking me and during this time I've had 3 days where it caused a good deal of pain. Before it only used to last 2-3 days. I am still learning about what this all is.

By overuse. Apparently musicians may get it too, so I am told. I worked in a maple syrup factory when I was younger. Filling up those leaf shaped bottles, I had to move it side to side to get the bubbles out for proper filling. It doesn't seem like much but its always a flick of the wrist 4-5 times a bottle. And gotta work fast cause its boiling syrup filling the bottles. We would fill over 100 bottles easy in a day.
