How Anarchy finds its way
After discovering the philosophy of anarchy or the immorality of all alternatives, the big question for many is how to reach anarchy.

Some think that this should be done via voting, which is appeasing the outdated system. But how can voting be the solution when voting and democracy are inherently flawed? You do not vote for anarchy, you do it. Anarchy is going beyond this bullshit.

Others think that we need to demonstrate in the streets or make us heard in some other way. Again this does not matter. Of course one way to reach anarchy would be to convince everyone on earth of the philosophy, but is that actually realistic? I think it is a waste of time. I am always happy to talk to people and if they want to hear me thats fine, but trying to convince them when they do not want to listen? I am done with that.

# Properties of Anarchy

The fundamental property of any anarchistic system is simple. There is no force or violence. People use it or are a part of it because they want it out of their own choice.

By that very logic the way to anarchy is clear. What we offer has to be better than hierarchical systems that exist. And if they are better the people will eventually come. Even when they are illegal or there is a huge repression against them. History only moves in one way and once an idea is born it cannot be stoped indefinitely.

There are two practical approaches based on this. First the idea to ignore hierarchical systems as much as possible to reach personal freedom. The more people do it, the easier this will become and eventually the entire society can be restructured from individual action. But if you go down this path you should not expect others to follow you. You should accept that this may never happen and you made that choice just for your life.

The second is identifying hierarchical structures. Then question them and see if you can build the same (or better) service without invoking any form of hierarchy (or in fact less hierarchy). When this is possible then build it and if it delivers on the promises people will start using it. You will face resistance from the outdated power structure but eventually it will crumble and you made the world a little better.
The more people innovate and the better the alternatives are, the faster we move towards anarchy.

# Anarchy will likely not be known as anarchy

A side-effect of this is that the solutions will not be known as 'Anarchy'. The best example is bitcoin. We identified a huge power structure, the absolute control over money. Then we came up with a better system that has no hierarchy at all and is completely compliant with anarchist principles. Then we launched it and so far adoption has been phenomenal. The old monetary system is still alive, but it is leaking. And that leak may eventually tear it up completely.

But there are a few more interesting facts to learn. The mere existence of Bitcoin already constrains the financial system. One idea was to gradually remove paper money until there is only digital money left (which is largely completed in various countries). Then once physical money does no longer exists it is possible to establish a negative interest rate. In the last crisis interest rates went down to 0, but not below. But because we have bitcoin, they will never be able to force interest rates below 0%. Because people have the option to exit and that means they can never screw up too much.
Also because there is no hierarchy in bitcoin it turns out that it is incredibly hard to regulate. If you want to sue bitcoin, how do you do that? If you make it illegal what will that even change?

And this is the way how anarchistic change can be brought into the world. It will not be known as anarchy and the people using it will not call themselves anarchists. And in fact it does not even matter what they believe. Still the world with bitcoin is better and more free than an alternative world without. There is no need to campaign for it, no need to give talks about the philosophy of bitcoin. It works without all of that. And we also did not vote for bitcoin in any election.

And bitcoin is not the first anarchist project. For thousands of years we have free markets, another unstoppable concept rooted in anarchist philosophy. Many times people tried to suppress it, but it has endured all attacks since the ancient times. It also created some of the funniest moments in history when confused people of the mainstream news ask 'Who are these markets and why can they tell our democracies what to do? I did not vote for the markets. I voted for [enter bullshit politician here].'

Even though democracy is not anarchist, it has a somewhat flatter hierarchy than a monarchy. And anarchists can absolutely get involved in replacing dictators or monarchs. Just they should not stop there and ask the question how we can reduce hierarchy more in such a way that the people will follow us out of their own will.

The history of humanity is in fact full of anarchist progress, it just never gets the label of anarchy. And the people that are opposed to anarchy still choose anarchist solutions everyday and are often big supporters of those.

# How can you support anarchy?

It is simple. Find an anarchist project and contribute. Or come up with a new idea. It is not necessary to do this on a global scale like bitcoin. There are local power structures everywhere and possibly these can be disrupted by a new idea or a company. All it takes it constantly trying to challenge authority wherever you find it. And it is not even necessary to call what you do anarchy.

The only difference between an entrepreneur and a practical anarchist is that the former works to bring any product of value that the people want to use and the latter does the same specifically to challenge authoritarian systems.

Reading your text feels really weird.
As if I was reading my own thoughts, just written down...

But that's because I've been working very intensively on this topic for some time now.

I have even written down some very similar approaches, only in german. Since I run my blog mainly in german.

Just have a look at my last post... it also goes in that direction... And is english ;)

Have rediscovered an old drawing of me and then I digressed a little...^^

Exactly my thoughts on most of OP's posts but better written than I would have done.

Anarchy is about loving people. Seems silly but if you truly love humans, then you would not need third party centralized intermediaries such as the state to facilitate an exchange.

If you don't like people, you will always find yourself knocking on the door of the same people who oppressed you in the first place.

Without this step, anarchy is impossible.
