Do you wonder how many of your votes come by bots?

<p>I was wondering how many of those votes I was getting were by bots.</p>
<p>I asked myself, are those votes automatic?</p>
<p>Does my content not matter to this many supporters?</p>
<p>I'm ok with that, better to give out an average to a happy few, rather than ride the ups and downs as defined by fickle popularity, imo.</p>
<p>I think that last post has given me an answer.</p>

Same thing. Sometimes I just notice 30-40 likes in less than a minute. And on other even better quality posts from my point of view I don't get 10 likes

Sometimes i am not sure i want to know! I mean, from one point, seeing people upvoting your post/comment makes you feel good (not just for the extra income) because you feel productive, that you work you give to the people is something they appreciate. However,  if you find out that some of them are by bots, might discourage some people.

Sometimes i feel that if bot-voting explodes too much, people will start interacting via comments less and less and will just upvote posts, but on the other hand, i know how encouraging it can be to authors and also helps a lot the community to grow, especially for the newcomers.
