I think my personality is derived from my mom's side. Her parents, more like her dad, were very rough and stubborn. They were homesteaders and my grandpa tamed wild horses. My mom is very dominant.......and when I was a child, i was like my dad: shy, introverted, very passive. I am definitely introverted and get upset when I cannot spend most hours alone. Any way, my mom taught me that some rules just don't apply to us. She got in trouble in the army, and went through transformations later. She's very strong-willed. And she totally dominated me growing up.
So, I have an axe to grind, a double whammy. I no longer care to be dominated by anyone, and my solution has just been to be a hermit, content to read, write and think. I am quite happy like this. Most dominant people can easily find those to dominate. I wish to be left alone, not dominating anyone, nor anyone dominating me. 
I only spend time with people who respect these boundaries, and I dump the rest. That's how I live now.
But it was not always like this.

well, truly rebellious women are rare. Its because most are not financially independent. Or they have been taught to conform. I've always been interested in non-conformity, kind of fringe stuff, thinking etc........
But you know who is a real rebel? Susanne Tarkowski, who founded BitNation. She's a total badass.
