Have you ever thought about how you, or others, might measure kindness. Do you measure it in amounts, like a little or alot? I was thinking today about the weight of kindness. I was thinking about the last effects that kindness could have.


Earlier today I engaged with someone on social media, and was just reaching out to check in with them. Sometimes, that's just what I do. I care about people, and I just like to touch base with people to see how things are going.


I see this as a way to show kindness through caring. I know that different people are active with different things, and I know that some are real busy. When I reach out to others, I also know that they don't have to respond. I just hope that they see my words and that they could be enough.


I like the idea of the butterfly effect. You never really know how your words might impact someone's day, or even their life. I've talked many times before that we can not control how someone feels about our words, we can just control the words we use.


I see the world as a very simple light and dark. That makes it easier for me. I think about my interactions with others and whether it will add light or dark to their situation, and that is how I gauge how to continue.


We live in a world full of grey areas, and I think it is nice to share a positive energy with others! We all could be the light in someone else's darkness.....even when we don't know it.
