Today I am taking you on a magically journey about chiggers. If you have lived in the South, in the heat, in the outdoors... You know just what I am talking about.

Last week I was out in the backyard cleaning up a fence row because my friend that owns the house wanted it to look "cleaner". Since we are homesteaders, this meant he wanted it to look more like it fit into a yuppy village.

I have no problem making things look neat and tidy. So I threw on the ol' blue jeans and boots and started weed wackin' my heart out. I was conquering some Jurassic looking weeds, and I was uncovering a long forgotten fence. Well, atleast an over grown one haha.

All was going great until about two days after that when I started to itch. I noticed these little red dots, and a feeling of complete bliss when I scratched... Yep, that's a chigger bite.

I noticed that the bites were only where my under shorts are. I am very grateful that they didn't go in for a real meal if you know what I mean, and they are staying on my legs and butt. 

I have tried a couple of things that I describe in more detail in the video. 

The bottom line is... chiggers are nasty. They are uncomfortable, and the only thing you can really do is to wait for the itching to stop. It eventually does haha.
