It's human to consider what comes after this wild experience we call life. Wren considers exactly how much time we spend preparing for, and thinking about the 'beyond', at the risk of diminishing our stake in life on earth, right here and now. Her deeply philosophical post considers how life is within **all** things, and thus the spiritual world isn't 'beyond', but within the life we inhabit. She writes beautifully that the spiritual is 'in the trees, in the sun, the antelope, termite, fungi and even us', an animistic principle that suggests thatthe spiritual brethes into the physical and the physical into the spiritual. Inhabiting this LIFE is her religion - taking care of the earth we live on, the soil beneath our feet - and that is enough. We don't need any 'beyond'.

@artemislives lives in Chiang Mai, Thailand, and is often exploring better ways to interface between the clients of her organic herb and plant business, and certified organic practices. In this post, she challenges the 'certified organic' label and informs us that this is a hard label to get if you're going to support local producers. Armed conflict, legal tenure, legal historical document of land, statelessness - all of these things are barriers to fulfilling 'certified organic' requirements. Highly recommended as she makes all of us rethink whether buying "certified organic" is 'voting for a political-social system that is definitely NOT about fair trade, excludes the majority of growers in the cleanest-poorer parts of the developing world, and reinforces layers of prejudice and discrimination'. We encourage you to read the entirely of her argument here, as it's a passionate plea for us to find out the truth and to encourage freedom from such labels.

We're so inspired & excited to by this new women's co-op, Weave to Empower, created by our very own Freedom Tribe member @trucklife-family. After recently becoming a single parent (which is something very close to my heart as I watched my own mother raise 5 kids by herself) @trucklife-family was inspired to help other women in a similar situation empower and support one another. In this post, she shares the official name for the women's co-op, along with her vision and goals. If this ain't love, I don't know what love is!
