First of all @whatsup and @drakos. What a great initiative! The steem blockchain really do need a bigger middle class. A middle class which can support promising red fishes and minnows!
I had to think long and hard about putting myself forward as a labrat. I am a humble person, so let see if I can give you an accurate picture of myself! And if I don't get it, at least I would have tried!
I am now being active on the blockchain since Jan this year! I am a firm believer that interaction and engagement is what this blockchain needs to make it a success! I am baffled by the comment/post ratio which hovers around 2.5. So that's on average 2.5 comments per posts, which is ridiculous if we compare this with other social media platform, where people event doesn't get rewarded!

I am a very interactive person here. I do write on average 200 comments per week. @abh12345 can prove this with statistics. It is also show on the engagement board with the steem witness @steemcommunity has set up!
On my blog I write mainly about the following niches: steem in general, crypto investments and sports betting. In the beginning I was hesitating about writing about sports betting, but I am glad we did. Together with 4 other steemians we did setup the sport betting community.

Yesterday I do write a post, why people should keep on being interactive although the value of steem is low. If you are here for the long term, it doesn’t matter because under the hood we are working with VESTS. You can read about it here:

The idea behind the community is to support steemians who do write sports related posts. We do support them with a push in the back (upvote from our whitelisted bot, besides using a tag no requirements) and with general steem advice. The problem sports bettor on Steemit have, is that they are not supported by any other community, which causes an incredible burn rate! There should be more communities like ours, because the more we have the more people will feel at home and will stay! It will make it also easier to find people with common interest! The other founders are @stimp1024, @beat-the-bookies, @costanza and @acelad!

Since recently I was also accepted by the @steemitbloggers community! Need to become more active there, but this will happen after the world cup!

At the moment I am also running a world cup contest backed by a lot of sponsors. The prize pool is an amazing 110 SBD.

I have also adopted a new planton. A real life friend of my, which finally signed up after lots of nagging about steem. I will support him until he reaches a certain amount of SP. Just like you are suggesting now.

What can I tell further more about myself. I did set a goal, that I do want to reach minnow status before November! There is also a post about that on my blog, but I can spam the complete comment with links !

The biggest problem that I am having is that I would like to upvote the genuine comments I do receive! I did this in the beginning but that was before I was aware of the dust threshold. I tried to upvote the comments up to $0.02 but that was just destroying my voting power! So, I had to stop this!
At the moment I am selling a part of my voting power via Smartsteem, I am happily willing to stop this, when I do receive the delegation. Once in a while I also do use tipu as upvote bot, to give my posts some more recognition. I only buy small upvotes between SBD 0.5 and 0.75. At the moment it is protibale and because I need to grow to be able to support others, I am more or less forced to dot this! Also willing not to use upvote bots, during the experiment!

So, what would I do when being choosen as labrat. Well just like I am doing now. Keep on being active, the only difference is that I would be able to support others more.
I am all over the blockchain, so my power will spread over a lot of people and communities!
I did have a discussion with @lynncoyle1 yesterday day, about that the most curation project always are fishing within the same pool, what I do regret!
What maybe is also good to mention is that I am a regular top 10 players in @abh12345 engagement league!

But maybe it is better that other people will tell if I would be a good labrat, that why I am going to name a few, which maybe can vow for me or not!
