When there is crisis, most people would start to worry and do not know what can they do.

There can be many business opportunities where entrepreneurs not only reap great profit but also get to help others.

This article will explore some of the crisis that some countries may face that entrepreneurs were able to seize the business opportunities.

<strong>Water Crisis</strong>

In Singapore, water supply has always been a concern and can become a great crisis to the country.

Olivia Lum saw the potential of water recycling and took the risk when she gave up her well-paying job at Glaxo and even sold her condominium and car to raise her capital to start her business.

After going through many difficulties, she managed to establish a well-known company today known as Hyflux that later on supplied and installed process equipment for the first water recycling plant of Singapore called the NEwater.

Her business grew beyond the boundaries of Singapore today and she was successful because she managed to see the water crisis as a business opportunity.

<strong>Currency Crisis</strong>

Currency inflation can be a serious crisis for all countries in the world. 

During a crisis, a government can easily print more currency leading to the negative impact to our purchasing power because our daily products may have an accelerated increase of price.

In the past, many people invested in gold as a crisis currency backup since governments or banks can manipulate the value of currency.

With the rise of cryptocurrencies, we can see how cryptocurrencies can bypass the manipulation of banks and governments.

There were some people who were able to see the potential of Bitcoin in the early days. These people invested and they had definitely reaped many times of profit today.

<strong>Crisis of crime rate</strong>

When we read the news and we are always extremely terrified and concerned with the increase of crime rate.

Almost every citizen would take extra precaution to prevent themselves to become a victim.

When home security system was still not popular or rare, I imported home security systems to distribute to the local shops.

Since there were not Alibaba and Taobao then, most people would need to purchase their things from physical shops.

The security systems were sold out within a short period and lots of shop owners called in to order for more.

In these modern days, many developers have created mobile apps for different crime prevention and these are really great opportunities that not only profitable but help others.

<strong>In conclusion</strong>

I have only mentioned a few nice examples to illustrate how crisis can be great business opportunity.

A great business mind should always think about how we can help others to cope with the crisis or make life better for others.

With these two fundamentals, we can definitely find different ways to seize the crisis as business opportunity.
