Choosing a curation trail means you're giving up your option to curate manually. <\/p><p>Some apps have curators that curate manually. These curators have a set of rules they need to follow in order to maintain quality curation. This way you are upvoting content that matches the app's curation requirements. There's no downside here, if you agree with the set of rules they have.<\/p><p>If you choose to follow an app that upvotes users without even reading their posts, that's the worst thing you can do. This way you are directly contributing to support low or no quality posts. Some apps check out people before putting them on autovoter and then never again. Autovoter votes everything they post, no matter what it is. This is a huge mistake in my opinion. You can end up voting content you don't want or approve.<\/p><p>As about using trails and not curating manually, I don't agree it's the best choice. Why not give it to someone who really put some effort into a post.<\/p>\n<p>I understand that it will could make more people inactive.
