Have you seen the recent update of [Steemit frontend](www.steemit.com)? If you haven't then I suggest you do now and experience its new features.

I know for a fact that the main Steemit frontend is still the most used page among the many the we have however, there are a lot of users that refrained from using steemit.com due to the lack of development in the past few years. But things are changing now, there are more improvement to it. Thanks to the effort of the Steemit Inc's core developers and other devs that are independently contributing to the improvement of the site.

Now, let give you a quick tour. Firstly, Communities is already integrated to the page! Although it already looks good, there seems to be future update on this (as stated on the notice above the page).

Personally, I think that it's a great organizational tool for anyone who wanted to moderate for their own community. If I recall in the early days of steemit, the use of tags is chaotic and being abused by posters back then. Anyone can simply utilize any tag regardless of the contents they are posting. The communities feature will allow moderators or admins to manage the contents that will be shown to their communities page. So everyone is rest assured that their visit to a specific community page will not be cluttered with unrelated posts. On top of that, the moderate can do an awesome job of curating quality content creators for every visitors' pleasure. How cool!




Another feature that I wanted highlight is the Notifications tab, this is something that other frontends have implemented ages ago however, seeing it in the main Steemit frontend is still an exciting addition to the user experience.

Finally, interface was also improved and was made more readable in comparison to the early versions of it. The rehabilitation on the look of the steemit interface is considerably the coolest progression on the development in Steem network.

Although, it's not performing well compared to other frontend like [Steempeak](www.steempeak.com) I still considered it to be the flagship webpage for Steem and I guess the early adopters of Steem will still look back at it by the time they will reunite with the network once again. And if I'm in their position, I will be amazed on the improvement that this place has turned into. Cheers!
