GENE RAIN

I looked at the average rating of critics from the world, and I had known little about anything before. But it did not make me think of what kind of poison I finally got into my hands. Gene Rain is a Chinese game. There is nothing wrong with this, and I certainly do not suggest that the Chinese can not bring a quality game. However, as well as Chinese fake products, this is, in my view, a feud game. No one has been trying to create a product that will be fun if it has any value. They just tried to imitate something else cheaply and quickly put it out. And you probably do not have to guess after looking at the pictures that they were trying to mimic the Gears of War.

They have already been, and yet will be, but Deeli Network in this area has really spectacularly overtaken virtually every queue that can be taken into account when evaluating the game. Would you like a story, for example? Me too! There is something here, but I can not even figure out what God is about. There are several reasons for this. One of them is that the authors sometimes do not want to talk. Well, especially he can not talk him. Jump from character to character, jump between (minimum) 3 time periods. And I jump from place to place. You do not understand anything, nothing will catch you, everything is indifferent to you. I'm a little busy: one of your characters will die. But it can be stolen, even if you have no idea who it was.

Another specialty that hurts the story very much, but the rest of the game pulls the rest is English localization. The game authors have not been so excited to hire someone to translate the game from Chinese into English, so they probably copied from the translator. And those texts do not make sense. Did you know, for example, that in order to open the second game mode, must the first pass through the clearance? That's serious. It really does not make any sense. And seriously, it's just one of the huge piles of things that do not make sense here because they are very badly translated. Dialogues are terrible. They are also terribly upbeat. I had the impression that they were duplicating the regime's enemies in the workplace by phonetic transcription.

Everyone is shaken, disgusting bad voices and acting can not be said here. The waiter in the fifth price pub gives you more enthusiasm to read the daily menu. And that's just the tip of the iceberg. The entire audio mix is horrible. Something so unbalanced does not count. Add to this the fact that sounds are probably coming from a database where they were free to download. They are just flat loops that will soon rush your head, whether it's shooting or walking. At least music can be listened. In the sense that this is the only sound aspect of a game in which you do not want to penetrate your pencils.

I'm still returning to the story, but rather from the point of view of the game premise, the plan, and the overall design. If I liked it to eat, imagine that someone is serving you with goulash sauce, sushi, ice cream, the smelly Icelandic fermented shark, and pouring it with bryndza. Robots, mutants, zombies, samurai, mechanical spiders, scorpions and what do I know about what in one game? Is this the expression of some screenwriting of ADHD? And there's a strange man who has some abilities, and probably not a man, but he has a common mechanical heart with one woman ... I do not know, they just did not mean. Did not the authors know how to choose one topic that will be the game? Did they have to do something so disgraceful? But it does not have a head and a joke!

All of this is set in such a generous and dashing environment when it comes to capturing your head, although it is true that it generically does not work just because you could see something about a million times before, but also because the authors constantly they completely repeat totally the same elements and objects. As you go through the game, for the most part you have the impression that you are still the same corridors that are the same for the hair. And since everything looks the same, you are doing the same things on the hair. Sometimes you come, you shoot enemies, pull the lever on the terminal, go ahead and do the same again. A seemingly endless loop to ask yourself what your place in this world is and how much you can still bear.

We could mark many aspects of Gene Rain as a bad joke, so the action is great. It is "only" bad and boring. Something like what you would expect from a game of jam games not of very experienced developers (the current 2084 was created on game jame and is incomparably better in the action component). Guns do the same thing, they sound the same, gunplay is not a bit funny. Then there are special weapons that you use less, but at last you will feel at least some effect and you do not have to spend half a day shooting at the enemies in the cloaks. Well, there are no grenades that you can enjoy some fun with, as they showcase their game physics, which probably comes from a dimension where bumps, mutants and robots coexist.

Artificial Intelligence is a category of its own. I swear that I have seen in the microscope more intelligent protagonists than the characters in the games at the lab during the elementary school. Enemies are so exact that they would have to thread a needle thread across the map, but at the same time, if you are moving through a script launcher, I can only chase you and ignore you. Your fellow soldier is no better at this and he is actually only in the game as he can not hit or roll from the hangar if he stands just before them. What brings me to the question of why the game does not contain cooperation when you spend most of the time with two characters on the road across the world. The quality of the game did not improve, but at least I would not have played alone. And those few other journalists too.

One thing I appreciate is the length. The campaign takes only three and a half hours to go with a lot of crying and minimal psychological damage. But it's a plus for me because I'm paid for playing it and writing about it, so I'm not going to last for a long time. You want to get the most fun for your money. There is no one here. Or you are a masochist, so you want to get as much suffering as possible for your money. Well the game is short. There is still a Horde mode, which you can access after "clogging", but that's not something that adds value to the game. You can get the most out of it when you finish the game after the defeat of the final boss, "To be continued".

I may not need to describe the graphics. You have eyes, you see pictures around, it looks terrible, but when nothing else, at least it does not move terribly, but quite normal. Personally, I only amazed that I'm playing the first part of Army of Two years later, and even though the game has its own age, in many ways it just looks better than the modern game released on Xbox One and PS4 in 2018. For some reason the game has not yet gone on Steam, even though there's been a long-awaited announcement coming out soon. But it is a form of trade war - raise our duties, we will take you to the west of our game.

Why is this game even less? I reserve the unit for special titles. Those tastes that take less than installation (I say hello to Battle: Los Angeles), or games that can not be played, spoil, fall, freeze, crash for PCs and consoles, or otherwise make it impossible to play. Gene Rain can turn on and go from start to finish, bugs, and fatal mistakes you can not find. But do not do it anyway. It's probably as fun and enjoyable as when you prune your wrists and wipe your salt and lemon juice in your wounds. One of the worst games of the year 2018 and I had the opportunity to try out a few of the expressly waste titles.
