I miss you
She left me and never looked back, not even once...I remember the last time I saw her...I was driving by and saw here there, looking as special as ever, immaculately presented and just begging to be someone else's...And in only a matter of days she was...

Nah y'all, not my wife Faith, she's *stuck with me*...I mean my truck.

I built it up over the course of a couple months after purchasing it brand new in 2016. By the end of that year it had a long list of accessories, all designed to assist it cope with the rigours of outback tracks and off-roading work that I'd subject it to. Fortunately I worked for a huge off-road accessory company at the time, so $25,000 worth of stuff only cost me a shade under $9,000. I was able to call on suppliers to the company to throw bits in for free and the company was happy to give me huge discounts as my vehicle got used as a showcase for their products.

But it's gone now.

I ended up selling it to a dealership for a pretty good price; Having so many extras on it (that I never really paid for) helped the price and so I signed it over. I had just purchased my 200 Series Landcruiser at the time and having two off-road vehicles just didn't make any sense. I really miss my truck though.

Don't worry, I'm not going to break into a cheesy country music song or anything, but this truck and I did a lot together; It took Faith and I to some pretty remote places and performed flawlessly every time - It was a capable unit...We were a good team...Hmm, Maybe I *should* write a country song...Lol.

I've owned a lot of cars over the years some of which I barely remember and others I miss a lot...This one sits towards the top of the *I miss you a lot* list. I guess it's not about the vehicle itself, more the memories we created with it, the places it took us.

My list of cars I truly miss owning is reasonably short. Of the 48 cars I've owned there are only 4 of them on that list...They are cars I sold for whatever reason I had at the time and regretted later...This truck is on that list, in second place as it turns out. Number 1 is also a truck, a 1982 F100 pick up which I *loved*. My reason for selling that was dumb and I don't want to go into it but rest-assured I regret it so much even 18 years after selling it.

So, do you guys have any regrets over a vehicle you've sold in the past? I know, for some, cars are just a mode of transport, however we create memories in them and so they can become a *part of our lives* like anything else we use on a daily basis.
