My love of Friday's is legendary; Who doesn't love that day of the week when one can get away with doing very little at work (not really true), and leave early (not always true) to start the weekend. Mine is just about to start as I'm leaving the office...Right about...Now...In 5 minutes anyway.

It's a big weekend for me to be honest. The first round of the **Formula One World Championship** starts in Melbourne, Australia and as an avid follower of the sport I'll spend most of the weekend in front of the TV. Oh, I'm shooting a handgun event on Saturday also so will record the days racing action and spend all Saturday night watching it, but Sunday...Definitely in front of the TV all day!

I've been watching F1 Racing for a long time, in fact, since I discovered it as a 9 year old boy so...Let me see...*[Imagine me counting on my fingers...]* Hmm, that's forty years ago...40! That makes me...Umm, 32? Anyway, I love it; Racing, not being 49 years old and never miss any of it. As the first race of the season is this weekend I'm coming out of a long 4 month F1 hibernation and it's...Well, It's simply glorious! I'm looking for my boy Daniel Ricciardo to have a good showing but with his move to Renault and this being his first race with them it might be a tough ask.

It's also special for another reason. **My sister happens to be here**. She travels for work here and there but not often to Adelaide so to have her here, from her home in Sydney, Australia is pretty cool. She's only here for a couple of days and has been working and staying in the city so we'll see her tonight for dinner. We are heading to an old favourite place of mine called La Trattoria. They serve Cambodian and Vietnamese fusion-food...Haha, nah not really...They serve Italian of course, and are super-amazing at it too. We'll be there tonight so if you want to join us...Well, think again, you're not actually invited.

I'm looking forward to seeing my sister as we don't catch up often due to the distance and work schedules so it should be a good time. I know the team over at La Trat also so...Free stuff coming our way! &#128521;

Well, that's pretty much it in a nutshell. A good weekend if you ask me but maybe not everyone's thing. That's the beauty of it being *my weekend*, it's specific to me, just as yours is to you. It would get boring if we were all the same...

It's funny how guns and racing cars have an image problem; that there are millions of people who think gun and car lovers are dopey hicks. Most of those people couldn't build a go-kart or a slingshot.

Fridays are definitely the best day of the workweek!  I am taking a page from you to get home early but I have a work event tonight for dinner (I know, who plans a work event on a Friday; not me!).  It will be a weekend of chores though so will not enjoy as much as you.  Enjoy!
