For a long time many of us have been doing various things to try to help the situation with the environment. We try to live a bit better than most. We try to clean up occasionally. We try to buy the most responsible things we can sometimes...while at the same time knowing we're kind of fighting a losing battle.

Everything comes in these massive things of a ton of disposable plastic. Potatoes come in plastic bags. Every little thing comes in this sort of plastic bubble that's not even easy to open. It's damn near impossible to open some of the shit they package things in because you have to destroy the surrounding packaging and then just throw it out.

So many people and companies don't seem to care. We are made to feel like we're the crazy ones, because we just don't want trash everywhere and the world to become unlivable for us and people to destroy the environment that we all rely on. We're fighting a losing battle and we feel powerless against the zombie masses.

And then these young kids come along. Some of the youth that everyone seems to ignore and society acts like is powerless, and they use their youth and position in school as a weapon, going on strike, and fighting back against climate change.

Here we are, in a world that makes us all fear powerless, and the ones that society acts like they have the least power of all have chosen to stand up and speak out and show that they do have power. They can make a difference. They have a voice. And they're tired of the old idiots in power stealing their future.

Thank you for doing something. Anything.

Thank you for putting the old men in power in their place and telling them that they are stealing all of our future.

The world belongs to all of us, and it's time that they stop destroying it like it only belongs to them. They are not long for this world so they think it doesn't really matter. It's a problem for tomorrow. They can keep putting it off.

But they can't.

They've ignored it for too long, and it's time they start listening.
