Some of My 'Beauty-Secrets!' # 1

**Hi Friends.... This is actually in continuation to my yesterday's blog, where I have told you about my experience of visiting a beauty salon and my decision of not going there again! :).**

But as I said in my blog, being a woman I also give some care to my skin. I am always using some of the ingredients which are easily available in my kitchen or from my garden and these scrubs or facial packs I frequently use, have really made a great difference in maintaining the softness of my skin, either in my face or in my hands... :)

**This is a scrub I generally use, atleast once in a week.**

1. Petals of one or two roses from my Garden.

2. 2 Teaspoon rice powder.

3. I Tablespoon lemon juice.

4. 2 Tablespoon fresh milk or coconut milk as per your option. (actually fresh coconut milk is better).

5. Finally 6 to 8 pre - soaked almonds.

Make a thick paste of almonds and rose petals in a mixie jar using 2 tablespoons of milk of your choice. To this paste, add lemon juice and rice powder and mix well.

**Clean your face with a glycerine soap.**

Apply all over your face and neck, leaving the areas around the eyes. Rub slowly in circular motion with some upward movements in between, for 5 to 10 minutes,depending upon the texture of your skin. (It should not cause any irritation). This is a good scrub as the rice powder acts as an exfoliate, removes the dead cells, almond, rose petals, lemon and milk moisturises and nourishes our skin...

**Leave it on the face for another ten minutes and wash it with cold water. Then we can apply a good quality rose water using a cotton wool. Face looks so fresh, tender and soft... :)**

We ladies can do it in between our cooking while we are in the kitchen for few hours...

**You can also try this on your hands and feet where the part of the body has exposed to sunlight.**

WOW! This is so much cheaper and skin-friendly than going to a salon!
(I thought you will also include sandalwood paste which is perhaps easily available in your region.) 
I hope, cleaning face with any soap should be okay. Is there any specific advantage of a glycerin soap? 

In this weather, it's okay to use face packs. But in winters it gets really unbearable. Then, I love steAming (*with 'a" &#128522;) instead.

Hi @xyzashu... This is just one thing I mostly do. I will  continue this series, in few more blogs.
Yes, Sandalwood paste, honey, turmeric, wheat, Raagi and so many other things I use. Will share it in my future blogs.

And I use Pears since so many years and it is a glycerine soap. Some soaps are not okay for my sensitive skin. :)
