The internet made it possible for people to easily network and communicate with each other, it made communication very easy that even individuals miles away can communicate without any hitches only requires one getting connected to a network on the internet. But all this data and information need somewhere to be stored and also servers that will be able to respond to the billions of request that are being sent in and out on the internet. The internet is a very big world and we just use only a fraction of it. But covalent.ai has one of the most efficient methods or technique to curb the security challenges being faced on the internet with their smart data policy.

Cova internet protocol is a smart data protocol that will be able to remember, keeps secret, learn from users. Cova will provide a smart policy data that will enable user to describe how their data will be used.
The covalent.ai will both be based on the ethereum blockchain and also will build their own blockchain which means they will be on two blockchains. The ethereum blockchain will be used for their financial transactions which will have their tokens and smart contracts and the reason they made this decision is because the ethereum blockchain is a secured and matured blockchain with an existing community. On the other hand, the covalent blockchain will be used to let DAPPS developers store metadata and secret bits.

The covalent.ai project has been in development for a long time now and has been taking their time in developing the project using the various technologies needed. From the last biweekly report, they reported that they are so close to releasing the public testnet (private testnet has been ongoing for long now) which will be a big accomplishment and relieve to the believers of the covalent.ai mission. According to the report they have already implemented the routing and complete node gossip network protocol and the part that got my attention as a python lover was when I read about the completion of the python library for both data users and data owners, don’t worry javascript lovers work is currently ongoing in completing the javascript library.
