La Colonia Tovar is located 56 km from the capital, Caracas. It is a town of German immigrants who founded it in 1843.

Its architecture and its traditions, food and drinks, are all attached to the German way of life. It is a preferred tourist destination for Venezuelans and Caraqueños  who are looking for healthy recreation and love cultural diversity.
