Christmas can be a magical time.....

It is a time for sharing and giving. During the long buildup towards Christmas day, we can literally see Christmas everywhere. We hear Christmas Carols everywhere, we see Christmas trees everywhere and we see Christmas lights on most of the houses. We feel the Christmas spirit all over.

Christmas day is also probably the most relaxing day of the year. Everyone is in high spirits and just chilled out. It is a glorious time and a day we remember for the rest of the year. During the Christmas holiday we recharge and we are ready to start a new year. Christmas is also a joyful time where we share presents and food and we are literally charged up with the excitement around us. Most of us get to spend time with our families. Christmas is also a time to self-reflect on what we achieved during the previous year...

BUT

For some people Christmas is just the opposite. Christmas can be a time for sadness...a time for depression to flare up, a time when people feel so secluded and lost. Some people are so intensely mesmerized by the Christmas spirit that they go completely overboard. Their main focus is on gifts and they buy themselves into a financial depth, and then struggle for the rest of the year to get out of this situation....before they do the same thing again the following year.

Some people can not handle being alone on Christmas day. Others get totally anxious because they have to spend time with family.

There is a reason why we can pick our friends.....

Then there are those who has suffered the loss of loved ones....and those without any money and struggle to feed their families...what to say about presents...

We all suffer from seasonal affective disorder (SAD)

We are literally affected by the season! Whether we are affected positively or negatively that is in our own hands. But Christmas should be a time of peace and love. We can do whatever we want on Christmas day....it is our choice how we spend the day. We don't have to accept the Christmas rules...because you know what?

There are no rules!

Image credit See even Santa has different ways of transportation)

We can share and give all we want.... but why is this just done over Christmas time? The silly season?

It is time that we make every day a Christmas day! We can help and share every single day. Why wait for one day in the year to act differently?

We should be grateful for what we have in life. Not everyone is as fortunate as me and you....if you see someone struggling, open up your wallet, purse, or handbag.

If you can afford to share then share!

Just remember that we can not help everyone all the time...it is important to differentiate between someone actually having a problem and people making and causing their own problems.

Go out and be a good person! All the time!
