There is a case in the last few hours that is shaking the whole world of Italian football.
It concerns the situation of some of the members of **SS Lazio**, a team involved in both Serie A and the UEFA Champions League.
Well, right on the eve of the match against Bruges, as many as 8 players of the biancoceleste team had stayed at home, as their possible positivity to the SARS CoV-2 virus was found.
Among these, some important names such as that of the bomber **Ciro Immobile**, that of the expert playmaker **Lucas Leiva** and the goalkeeper **Strakosha**.
To make the matter even more nebulous, there is also the fact that no clear and precise news has been spread by Lotito's company.
But in many cases, when it came to such situations, the teams reserved the right not to disclose information in order to protect the privacy rights of the people involved.
Last Sunday, in the Serie A match against Torino, a bit surprisingly, all 3 players we were talking about before were available and two of these (Immobile and Leiva) were also employed on the pitch.
Immobile even scored the penalty of the provisional 3-3.
And then the avalanche that between yesterday and today started from Formello and swept away all Italian football:
##### **the three players do not leave for the match to St. Petersburg against Zenit, because from what was found by the test performed by UEFA, they are positive**.

The **FIGC** has opened an investigation to find out if there have been violations to the security protocol and has taken steps to acquire the reports of the swabs carried out before the Champions League Club Brugge-Lazio and Serie A Torino Lazio.
The story is really very delicate, because in my opinion, it puts the entire football system at risk and could have serious consequences for SS Lazio, with the possibility of penalization or even exclusion from the Serie A championship.
But it is still early to say...we need to clarify.
In this regard, the team's medical director, Dr. **Ivo Pulcini**, stated that there were discrepancies between the swabs carried out, as those of UEFA provide for a **screening on three genes**, while the findings for Serie A can only refer to two of these.
To try to clarify the matter further, **Massimiliano Taccone**, the president of Futura Diagnostica di Avellino, the laboratory that processes the Lazio tests, intervened and stated how they already analyze 3 genes and not just the 2 classic genes.
Among these 3, there is a gene of the coronavirus family which is not specific to Covid-19 and, apparently, would not be infectious.
In short, as you could understand, the situation is really very confusing.
We will see what the developments will be, if any irregularities have been committed, or it is just a big and complicated misunderstanding.
And in this second case they will have to really explain it to us.

C'è un caso in queste ultime ore che sta scuotendo tutto il mondo del calcio italiano.
Riguarda la situazione di alcuni dei tesserati della **SS Lazio**, squadra impegnata sia in Serie A che in Champions League.
Ebbene, proprio alla viglia della partita contro il Bruges, ben 8 calciatori della squadra biancoceleste erano rimasti a casa, in quanto era stata riscontrata una loro possibile positività al virus SARS CoV-2.
Tra questi, alcuni nomi importanti come quello del bomber **Ciro Immobile**, quello dell'esperto playmaker **Lucas Leiva** e del portiere **Strakosha**.
A rendere ancora più nebulosa la questione, c'è anche il fatto che non sono state diffuse notizie chiare e precise da parte della società di Lotito.
Ma in molti casi, quando si è trattato di situazioni del genere, le squadre si sono riservate di non divulgare informazioni al fine di tutelare il diritto alla privacy delle persone coinvolte.
Domenica scorsa, nella successiva partita di Serie A contro il Torino, un po' a sorpresa, tutti e 3 i giocatori di cui parlavamo prima erano disponibili e due di questi (Immobile e Leiva) sono anche stati impiegati in campo.
Immobile ha addirittura segnato il rigore del provvisorio 3-3.
E poi la valanga che tra ieri e oggi è partita da Formello e ha travolto tutto il calcio italiano:
##### **i tre giocatori non partono per la trasferta di San Pietroburgo contro lo Zenit, perché da quanto riscontrato dal tampone eseguito dall'Uefa, risultano positivi**.

La **FIGC** ha aperto un'inchiesta per capire se ci siano state violazioni al protocollo di sicurezza e ha provveduto ad acquisire i referti dei tamponi effettuati prima della gara di Champions League Club Brugge-Lazio e di quella di Serie A Torino-Lazio.
La vicenda è davvero molto delicata, perché a mio avviso, mette a rischio tutto il sistema calcio e potrebbe portare pesanti conseguenze per la Lazio, con ipotesi di penalizzazione o addirittura di estromissione dal campionato di Serie A.
Ma è ancora presto per dirlo...bisognerà fare chiarezza.
A tal proposito, il responsabile medico della squadra, il Dott. **Ivo Pulcini**, ha dichiarato che ci sono state discrepanze tra i tamponi effettuati, in quanto quelli dell'UEFA prevedono uno **screening su tre geni**, mentre i rilevamenti sui tamponi per la Serie A possono riferirsi solo a due di questi.
Per cercare di chiarire ulteriormente la questione, è intervenuto **Massimiliano Taccone**, il presidente della Futura Diagnostica di Avellino, laboratorio che processa i test della Lazio e ha dichiarato di come loro analizzino già 3 geni e non soltanto i 2 geni classici.
Tra questi 3, c’è un gene della famiglia coronavirus che non è però specifico del Covid-19 e, a quanto pare, non risulterebbe essere infettivo.
Insomma, come avete potuto capire, la situazione è davvero molto confusa.
Vedremo quali saranno gli sviluppi, se sono state commesse delle irregolarità, oppure si tratta solo di un grande e complicato equivoco.
E in questo secondo caso dovranno davvero spiegarcelo bene.
