## My favourite song disappeared (temporarily)

Ever since I was younger I've always sung this song "bamboleo" by the gypsy kings. I never knew the lyrics or anything but I just thought it was catchy. Anyways I must've heard it on the radio a couple of years ago because I just randomly sang it. My family knew about this and they would often joke about it and sing it with me. I even searched it up on YouTube sometimes to play it. I typed "bandoleiro", which is the completely wrong spelling but I guess due to its popularity it always came up. 

Flashforward to last year about December, I started singing it around my holiday house. Nothing new, and my parents brushed my random singing off as I'm always singing randomly, however this time they seemed to not know the lyrics and they seemed off. I asked them why they weren't singing or if they forgot the song (as a joke) and they looked at me strangely. They said they had no clue about the song I was singing. I was quite shocked and thought they were kidding. Nevertheless I looked it up on YouTube to play it, because even if it was a joke I've always been stubborn and probably thought it was a bad joke and wanted to prove them wrong.

I couldn't find it. I searched it up everywhere. Google. YouTube. Even tiktok for god's sake. I even sung it to that new Google feature. I tried every possible spelling and every pronunciation and it wasn't there. I kept getting random Brazilian songs ironically. It drove me insane. I think I stayed up till midnight for a whole week trying to find it, with no success.

Now I install tiktok again later, I think late in 2021 and the song bamboleo becomes a trend and the song lands on my feed. I immediately look up the title, search it and play it. Finally I found it again and quickly sent the YouTube link to my family group chat (it was quite late so they didn't respond that night). 

The next day, I eagerly asked them if they listened to the song and they said they did but they didn't know why I sent it. They knew the song. But they didn't remember when I was going crazy trying to find it. I kept trying to convince them they forgot about the song and I searched for it but couldn't find it back in December. They looked at me quite shocked as they knew the song, but they didn't think I knew it too.

I looked at my search history and there was not a single trace of me searching up this song. Bear in mind, I don't delete my search history and my Google account logs everything I search. I knew where I should be looking at my search history as we were on holiday so I knew the dates but it wasn't there. None of my hundreds of entries were there. I thought I'd look at the rest of my search history from the day I found the song again to about a year ago in case this happened at another time when we weren't at our holiday home. I analysed every single search for a year and I never found any entries.

So now, no one remembers me singing that song for years and that week of them forgetting the song also disappeared, along with all of my search history for the song. I don't know what happened.
