Hi there Steemit!

Essaouira is really a mind-blowing little city. Just by walking around slowly, you really get drawn into it's almost fairytale atmosphere. The little old town Medina is like a labyrinth of smells and colours. Happy vendors and owners of little shops welcome you behind every corner.

Starting my lazy afternoon walk from my hostel, actually called Seagull's nest, I am instantly overwhelmed by the beauty of the dirty city.

With all the rubbish everywhere, it's nice to be surprised by a walk by street dog for example.

After getting out of the splendid old town, I made my way to the harbour full of old fisherman, hungry seagulls and smell of a dead fish.

The strong winds around there are luring kitesurfers from all over the world.

After all, I can only recommend visiting Essaouira as it is one of the nicest Maroccan cities I have been to so far.
