#### Step 1! If you haven't raided recently then you haven't seen the update that niantic added that allows you to see the number of players qued for a raid without using a raid pass . . . as long as you're in range. This is a nice feature as you're coming up on the raid though you can see if people are already qued. However this is people that have currently qued and that have used a raid pass. This doesn't show you the number of people in the area, or the number of people in the "pre game lobby" that haven't yet used the raid pass yet. In my opinion, this is a step in the right direction, but about 10 steps short of a truly great raid system. #### Step 2!!! [User KazzusTrip](https://www.reddit.com/r/TheSilphRoad/comments/6ynb67/i_made_a_quick_mockup_of_what_i_think_the_lobby/) gives shows a great suggestion how Niantic could make the next step by implementing a coming button to let others in the area know you're interested in the raid and heading that raid.  This would also be awesome if you could walk by the raid and mark yourself as ready and then once the minimum required people for the raid readied up you received an alert of some kind letting you know enough people are ready. If you were in the area this would allow you to mark yourself as ready, but still catch pokemon, check out pokestops in the area, or battle gyms all while you wait for enough people to show for the raid. #### Step 3??? This is from a perspective of someone that can't just leave he house and play pokemon go. Being married with one kid and a second on the way I don't have the "freedom" I use to have to just hang out and wait. If Niantic let me have my way I would create some sort of in game messaging or raiding system. Some sort of system that lets you know what raids are going on in your "hometown" somehow.  I know there are a ton of 3rd party options such as facebook groups, telegram, discord, etc., but if Niantic is offering me anything I want that would be my suggestion. Some sort of Looking for Group feature for raids in Pokemon Go. Do I think Niantic will ever make it this far, no, but married man with kids can dream can't he?
