Precious metals are taking a bit of a dip today. That might very well because of this:

To summarize, short term metal prices are determined by flawed pricing mechanism involving futures contracts. We like to call this “paper gold” because no one is actually running to their local pawn shop with a U haul and unloading $1 billion of gold coins and bars today.

This short term selling of paper gold contracts can cause temporary pressure in the price but as we like to say at Goldmoney, over the long term:
