Today I will tell you a true story about my first year of trading cryptocurrency. It all really started in July of 2019-- I was coming home from work and I saw my next-door neighbor for the first time. Young guy, only 20 years old. He had his shirt off and was just chilling outside on the porch near midday. I somehow guessed that he smoked weed, and he invited me over to smoke. I was really surprised by how nice his stuff was-- Louis Vuitton everything, Macbook, the nicest Iphone, big TV. He was a drug dealer and gambler, but he said the real way he makes money was with cryptocurrencies. I knew about them from before, but had never bothered to really learn. He was only 20 years old, with no college education and no job. He explained to me that he bought into a Crypto mentorship program for $10,000, and I immediately claimed that he was stupid for buying into a pyramid scheme. We talked and debated for a while, but I came around and realized that this was not a scam, but an opportunity for education that he chose to take. Slowly I began to realize that there really is huge amounts of money to be made in these markets. He told me to buy XRP when it dropped down to about $0.30 and I did. But I also stupidly bought the hype on an altcoin that seemed to have a good chart, Ethereum Classic. I was down on both for the rest of the year, but I knew they would go up, and here we are!! Eth classic hit $13 and XRP hit .35. Life is good..
