Dogs as people say is man's best friend. They are loyal companions so seeing my first dog fashion show in the year of the dog  I feel  optimistict that love and luck will shower  me this 2018.

Look how stunningly  beautiful they are in  their cute dresses .Meet candidate number one, Pretty, a pure breed chihuahua. Who caught the eye of another adorable chihuahua named Gift. Gift is named like that according to its owner because he was a present from a special someone. At first I thought Gift was a she being dressed in a cute tutu dress but he was a heart
rob that at light seconds he was pumping his way into Pretty that I and the owners where shocked then later amused that  he couldn't resist till the show was over.They cleansed themselves and part ways  makes me think in this fashion humans are no different than dogs in some occasions just that humans don't do it for eyeing public to document.

Because I was early I was able to take pictures of the  lovely paw  contestant .Had this been street dogs I wouldn't be as intimate  because of risk of deadly  rabies but because I know high breed dogs like this are well vaccinated I'd gladly kiss them if I have a chance.

As your  can see these furry creatures are treated like a family member as such all the pampering budget can afford is given them. Do you even know that thier grooming, vitamins, veterinary visit and food combined most likely coat higher than what average taxpayer can afford. So no matter how my heart skips a beat faster at their sight for now I'd just be content obsessing about them at a distance through their pet owners.

Events like this promote meet ups as what happened to Pretty and Gift but also it encourage responsible pet ownership and even pet adoption. In the program the host kept on emphasizing giving foster homes to orphaned or salvaged dogs. As much as the intention is good o worry about the later because it's hard to train dogs as pets how much more if they come from abusive owners. But maybe I'm just paranoid or not so well informed on this subject matter.

The contest awards the most alluring  pet  as well as the confidence of the pet and the owner as they walked the ramp. And this is where I have shivers because as much as I love the idea of my soon to be pet bagging trophies I shiver at the idea of strutting with the disciminating eyes of the public. 

I learned as well that there are various dog owners association and various activities that even bon pet owners like me can join in. Every Sunday at six am there is dog walking at at the park and as a blogger this excites me. In few chitchat with their master I was able to have an idea how much dogs half breed of pure breed puppy cost with or without certification. 

I am grateful that  though I was born with dehabilitating asthma yet with  God's healing power I slowly desensitized myself from having such air gasping attacks.Next to prayers, writing, swimming ,reading ,long walks and listening to music  comes  dogs  in my list of  my tried and tested destressing  strategy. 

Before I forget, yesterday when I arrived home I saw my neighbor's dog. It was the first time is as him in my gate so I offered him the leftover of yesterday's eat out with a fellow Steemian @iamqueenlevita She and I went to see the Chinese temple a fellow Steemian  talked about. Seeing this dog makes me hopeful that this 2018 will be a blast for me be it in wealth, career, romance and health.

As I wrote this post @iamqueenlevita again dine out and we passed by  a black and white cross breed shih tzu-pekingese what a delightful sight she was.

So in the year of the dog let me say to each and everyone of you that may 2018  be a year of be auspicious  for you of which dog symbolizes  not just of material wealth but that of love, peace and joy too. May we mirror in our lives the attributes of the dog that endear this creatures to us that of loyalty ,clever and strong intuition for danger.
