My older sister, my Mom and I all make these, using the same recipe, and each of us end up with a slightly different result.  Actually, both my sister and my Mom do a better job than me.

Side Note:  Only about 3 people will read this, nonetheless, here it goes.   It saddens me to say that it appears my content has become non relevant here.  I have failed to find the right combination that the community at large wants, and that is my fault.  In fact someone recently said that all I do is post a few pictures of cookies.  The irony.  The low price of steem is NOT the reason for this.  In addition, the food tag is becoming less and less popular.  My reputation score of 71.3, 860+ followers, and 6,000+ posts seem to be of little importance these days.  Unfortunately, I will need to spend less time here and focus more on seeking adequate returns on my investment in other ventures.  I'll still be here, just less.  I will be traveling a lot in the weeks to come, so we will see if some travel posts gain any traction.  We will see.

Really, I don't see how you could do better. Your photos continue to be awesome. Your recipes always sound delicious, even if they contain things I personally am unable to eat. I wondered if there was a pattern of the posts with recipes doing better than the ones with just the photos (or not) but there doesn't seem to be.

Photos of cookies, maybe there is a limit at some extreme, but it is 'out there'. REAL cookies, there is probably no limit ( : 
Those do look very good. Here-here to @paradise-found, the recipe would be nice.

I am a bit saddened that  you are heading in another direction, I've always enjoyed your posts and discussion, comments and such. I do think you are a very vital part to the site. That said, I do realize there is a reality to the time/return thing. When you spend a day or two on something and only 7 people even open it, it can be dis-heartening.  Maybe that is part of being an artist. Things sure go in cycles too. Pictures of cats, no, other subjects, seem to change back and forth.   

 I hope your new endeavour works out for you, and that you still put out food posts now and then.  I'm not much of a cook, but spend a lot of kitchen-time  vicariously through your posts and others like it on the site. Food seems to be your passion. Hate to see it go by the wayside.

 (Try not to take lack of interest to heart. I  think there is a reality to the time it takes to follow, read, vote, have a life out of Steemit, make a living, and then create large posts of character.  Where IS  that 37 hour day?  I  think this is often the cause of lack of support on here, vs. the 'not that good', or 'too this or that'. Time seems to be  the largest enemy of creativity, and those that follow/respond to it.   )  
Wow, I can really go on here. Sorry. But as I said, I hope you are able to return to the food creation in the future. You seem to enjoy it and are good at it.   You are a great person to have on the site.

I hope you can figure out a way to create something with the photos and posts that you have. At least you have lots of positive quotes that you can include on any book cover or website, waiting for you here on the blockchain.

haha -- that should be a song, hmmm.  It will be interesting to see how things evolve with the change in the reward curve and the upcoming hardfork. But the change to a 7-day payout, the unlimited posts, and the development of communities are even bigger changes that could really help (the 7-day payout and communities, I think) or be a real mess (the unlimited posts, I think). At least Steemit tries things and then adjusts, with the community having some voice. Unlike Facebook or other platforms.

Every time I see one of your posts I have to click it and see what yummilicious stuff you are up to . For me, you're one of the brightest shining lights in the kitchen and I hope we will be seeing more of this from you.  I think you have created a sweet niche for yourself and have become quite the icon for waking up the tastebuds.

There is definitely a lot of energy that goes into your posts.  Anyone who actually creates something and then does a whole photo journey BEFORE actually making the post, puts a LOT of energy into it.  It's not just a little sit down and whip out a few words for someone to read.  I appreciate the time and energy you invest into creating and sharing your passion.

I have experienced the same lull with my artistic endeavors, but feel that in the long run I have something great to offer this community.  The involvement of other artists is what makes it inspiring for me.  Artists of all genres posting here will understand your dilemma.
