The HUI ended lower -0.41 points (-0.24%) with a CLOSE at 171.16. On the daily chart, the fast stochastic is descending with a negative crossover. The slow stochastic is descending with a negative crossover. MACD is descending with a positive crossover of a rising Signal line. Divergence is down but remains above the zero mark.

SLV ended lower -$0.06 (-0.39%) with a CLOSE at 15.39. On the daily chart, the fast stochastic is descending with a negative crossover. The slow stochastic is descending with a negative crossover. MACD is descending with a negative crossover of a flat Signal line. Divergence is down and below the zero mark.

There were no hits of the daily target numbers today.

The Bears smashed the Bulls early and drove the HUI to the LOW of 169.86. The Bulls countered and drove the Bears back and the HUI to the HIGH at 172.47. The HUI faded into the CLOSE at 171.16.

Odd day, in as much the Bears failed to drive the HUI to a new LOW, but did manage to post a new LOW on the CLOSE.

For Monday, the Bears need to take out the today's low and drive the HUI back down to the 168.71. For the Bulls they need to defend today's low and try and fill the gap that formed yesterday thus regaining contact with 174.42 level.

I remain long in the HUI. The battle lines are well defined, above 179.53 and a rally is on the table, conversely below 168.45 a nasty drop is in the cards. The Bears look to have moved a step closer to causing a nasty drop.

GLD, looks weak but clawed back from an early assault.

SLV, ouch, looks like a nasty drop is in the cards, but not yet certain.

These are just my thoughts and observations, not advice etc.

A rally mid next week is definitely on the table using my humble trading skills. But just as you say there is that chance of a nasty drop. 
At this moment it's no different than spinning a roulette wheel in Vegas
