Saturday afternoon, at 4.30 the sun still shine on the west clearly sky . Tina and her mother walk to Catholic church near their home. Yes, this is a time to attend weekly mass. They are new at this area, and  have just been moving three days ago from another city. 

They walk toward church gate,  and see a man  with farmer heat, holding garden scissors,  wearing white shirt and trunk. A man politely greet them and give warm welcome, “Hello, how are you today ?”. Tina dan her mother do not answer the man greeting, only passing by with smiling face.

“Mother, do you know that man who greet  us at the church gate?”, Tinas asked her mother

“Uhmm… I do not know, may be he is a sacristan who in the charge at this church.”. Tina mother replied her answer, and slighty hold Tina hand then enter to the church and attending mass.

The day after day passing by, Tina always goes to that Catholic church every Saturday. The man always greet them as usual, but now they always reply the greeting with warmly. She turns back and see to that man who always greet them.   That man also give warm welcome to other people who want attend a mass at church, even some people reply it by  shake hand and smiling face.

“I wonder who is that man ? “, Tina scratch her head slightly with wondering face.

“Tina, just pay attention to the God, and pray, do not scratch your head anymore!”, Tina mother said to her with “sour face”.

It has been three months, Tina living at those neighborhood near that church. She has many new friends, one of them is Shinta. Shinta is live front of Tina’s house and often play together.

Someday Tina ask a question to Shinta, “Do you go to Catholic church near our house every Saturday ?”

“Oh…! I always go to that church with my family at Sunday morning.” Shinta answered Tina question.

Tina said, “Uhmm…  so you do not know about, a man who always stand near church gate and greeting people who go to that church on Saturday afternoon, don’t you ?”

“That middle old man wears farmer heat, …. short trunk and sometimes hold garden scissors, is it true ?”, Shinta talked and slightly sit on the chair near Tina.

“Yes, you are right Shinta! The man with farmer heat and short trunk.”

“Ha..ha..! oh my dear, You still do not him, it is very funny.” Shinta laughed hearing Tina that recognized that man.

“He is our Parish priest, he have been here for five years”

Tina surprised, “Oh …wow.. He is our priest ????”

“He is always lead mass on Sunday morning.” Shinta pointed at calendar, to affirm her answer.

“Please, Tina just do not judge people by their appearance, look carefully and wisely then you can give an opinion about that people.” Shinta give a little advice to Tina. (hpx)
