My Ode to Gamers all Around the World

A few days ago @whatageek mentioned about the world video game day and on that post I commented by writing  a little poem. I thought it would be a good idea to make the poem a little longer and submit it as a post for you guys to enjoy. 

I myself am not much of a gamer but they have always fascinated me. As a kid I would watch their dedication to the games and their perseverance even when losing battle after battle. During childhood it seemed odd but now I have come to appreciate their dedication to their craft. Here is my Ode to them:

<p><center>In those moments when I died<br>
I crushed my fists but never cried
</center></p>

<p><center>
Don't worry my non-gamer friend<br>
I died in a game, but my story didn't end
</center></p>

<p><center>
I was born anew with fire in my heart<br>
I rose again, and my war did start
</center></p>

<p><center>
When I met defeat, she was an old friend<br>
Then I came across victory and it did I defend
</center></p>

<p><center>
My skin turned white because it didn't see the sun<br>
But I rose till I was the ranking number one
</center></p>

<p><center>
While they scurried like rats in this world<br>
I ruled another kingdom with my guild
</center></p>

<p><center>
This place that tries to hold me trapped<br>
Will not be able, because into another world I zapped
</center></p>

<p><center>
If you see my brethren walking down this path<br>
Then know that this world is not their aftermath
</center></p>

<p><center>
To them the sky is the only limit<br>
You cannot stop us now, dammit!
</center></p>

<p><center>
Let this be known to the world of souls<br>
Their fate lies in those blessed hands on consoles
</center></p>

<p><center>
Into the screen I did stare away<br>
For the kingdom of guild was faraway
</center></p>

<p><center>
Now I am the ruler of this empire<br>
To newbies I am a legend and a sire
</center></p>
