익숙함에 만족하지 말아야
어제 꽤 큰금액을 추징당할 항목이 새로 발견되었다.
국세청에서 찾아 낸 것이다.
회사에서 복귀해보니 예전부터 관례적으로 해왔던 것인데 어찌보면 잘못된 것인지 모르고 있었던 것이다.
세법에 나와 있는 아주 기본적인 사항이었고, 시스템 구현 한계로 인해 불완전하게 운영을 해왔던게 이번에 밝혀진 것이다.
그 업무 담당자는 예전부터 이미 인지를 하고 있었으나, 큰 문제가 되지 않을 것으로 판단하여 공론화 하지 않았던 것이다.
몇번의 세무조사를 거치면서 별다른 이슈제기가 없었기 때문이기도 했었다.

익숙함에 익숙?해진 나머지 그 안에 숨겨진 리스크?에 무뎌진 것이다.
시스템 구현의 애로로 인해 반대로 회사가 손해를 보고 있던 항목에 대한 금액을 산출하여 이번에 밝혀진 금액과 반까이를 하는 방식으로 접근할 계획인거 같은데 그 금액의 기초가 되는 금액을 주말에 뽑아야 하는 상황이다.
국세청 다른 요청자료로만으로도 주말 풀가동해야 하는 상황인데 가슴이 턱 막히는 상황이다.

개인이든 회사든 익숙함에 만족하지 않고 계속 새로운것과 혁신을 추구해야 하는 이유중의 하나를 경험한 거 같다.
