Yesterday night I went home after 2 months. I live in a joint family. Today morning we all were sitting and gossiping. Suddenly my little sister arrived there. She is 2 years old. When she came everyone started pointing me and asked her, kinjal batao ye kon hai ? Translation: kinjal tell us who is he ? She was silent. Then everyone told her, ye shanu(my nick name) bhaiya hai. Translation: He is shanu(my nick name), your elder brother. Then suddenly she shouted. Ni, shanu bhaiya nhi, bhaiya. Translation: Not shanu bhaiya(elder brother), he is bhaiya. This sudden and innocent smart gesture of her is beyond words. Everyone started laughing. She reminded us the values taught her by us only, “you should not take names of elders”.
