Integrating The Arts In Learning Mathematics
In Mathematics Lesson there is a Fractional material number that has been learned by the learner minimally at the time of primary school in class III, but still very many students who do not understand the concept of fractions. Understanding the concept of fractions is considered difficult by students, not only in Indonesia it is also found in schools overseas schools.

The difficulties of understanding fractions in elementary schools in because of the giving of materials in the form of rules of symbol calculation, not a real understanding in daily life. the wrong teaching methods can also influence it, even though the curriculum is changing teachers still choose the conventional way of teaching.

### Mathematics Learning

During this time fractional learning contradicts the principle of mathematics learning which requires students to study mathematics with understanding. Mathematics is a matter that is neatly arranged in the lower order to the higher or vice versa so that the concept and the nature of mathematics are always maintained consistently. this is what distinguishes mathematics from other sciences.

Changing the pattern of learning is the right thing for teachers to make learning boring, harmful and destructive to learners' interest in mathematics is not done anymore. By bringing students to find mathematical concepts independently students are expected to be cognitive, psychomotorical and affective as systematic, flexible, creative, disciplined, honest and effective. Math learning can stimulate the ability to think and emotionally learners so that the brain can function and develop optimally.

### Integration of Arts

As we all know that the brain of the left brain and the right brain, the two hemispheres have different functions in thinking, the left brain serves to think logically while the right brain thinks nonverbal like feelings and emotional. both functions of the brain if both are developed through learning then students can develop emotional and spiritual intelligence.

intellectual ability is not enough to learn mathematics, emotional and spiritual ability is also very supportive in learning mathematics, because a logical and deductive mindset in mathematics learning is very dependent on the ability of imaginative and intuitive considering the learning of mathematics is a activity of thinking and requires activity to feel and enjoy.

Mathematical learning so far is alien to other branches of science such as art so that art is not included in other lessons, the art is often interpreted as singing, dancing and painting when the art can be integrated in the learning of math as an example of art drawings can provide a mathematical understanding to learners , art drawing is a good learning media that will give birth to activities in the learning process of mathematics as well as provide student motivation in learning.

The integration of art in learning mathematics can improve student's learning achievement, by utilizing imagination, creativity, and intuition. in addition to the application of art in the learning of mathematics provides an opportunity in creating a creative blend of art in learning mathematics. Visual skills can enhance creativity and imagination, so students can increase their activities, interests, and achievements in learning math

## <center>Integrasi Seni Dalam Pembelajaran Matematika</center>

<p>Dalam Pelajaran Matematika terdapat materi bilangan Pecahan yang telah dipelajari oleh peserta didik minimal pada saat menduduki bangku sekolah dasar di kelas III, tetapi masih sangat banyak siswa yang belum memahami tentang konsep bilangan pecahan tersebut. Pemahaman konsep pecahan di anggap sulit oleh siswa, bukan hanya di indonesia hal ini juga di temukan di sekolah sekolah luar negeri.</p>

Kesulitan pemahaman pecahan pada sekolah dasar di karenakan  pemberian materi berupa aturan perhitungan simbol, bukan pengertian secara nyata dalam kehidupan sehari hari. metode mengajar yang salah juga dapat mempengaruhinya, meski kurikulum berubah guru masih tetap memilih cara mengajar konvensional.

### Pembelajaran Matematika

Selama ini pembelajaran bilangan pecahan bertentangan dengan prinsip belajar matematika yang mengharuskan siswa untuk mempelajati matematika dengan pemahaman. Matematika adalah sebuah materi yang tersusun rapi dalam tingkatan rendah ke yang lebih tinggi atau sebaliknya sehingga konsep dan sifat matematika selalu terjaga dengan konsisten. hal ini yang membedakan matematika dengan ilmu lain. 

Mengubah pola pembelajaran adalah hal yang tepat bagi guru agar pembelajaran yang membosankan, membahayakan dan merusak minat peserta didik terhadap matematika tidak dilaksanakan lagi. Dengan menggiring siswa menemukan konsep matematika secara mandiri siswa diharapkan mampu secara kognitif, psikomotorik dan afektif seperti sistematis, fleksibel, kreatif, disiplin, jujur dan efektif. Pembalajaran matematika dapat merangsang kemampuan untuk berfikir dan  emosional peserta didik sehingga otak dapat ber fungsi dan berkembang secara optimal.

### Integrasi Seni 

Sepertiyang kita ketahui otak tebagi dua yaitu otak kiri dan otak kanan, kedua belahan otak memiliki fungsi yang berbeda dalam berfikir, otak kiri berfungsi untuk berfikir logis sedangkan otak kanan berfikir non verbal seperti perasaan dan emosional. kedua fungsi otak tersebut jika sama-sama di kembangkan melalui pembelajaran maka siswa dapat mengembangkan kecerdasan emosional dan spiritual.

kemampuan intelektual tidak cukup untuk mempelajari matematika, kemampuan emosional dan spiritual juga sangat mendukung dalam belajar matematika, karena sebuah pola pikir logis dan deduktif dalampembelajaran matematika sangat tergangtung pada kemampuan imajinatif dan intuitif mengingat pembelajaran matematika merupakan aktivitas berfikir serta memerlukan aktivitas merasakan dan menikmati.

Pembelajaran matematika selama ini saling asing dengan cabang ilmu lain seperti seni sehingga seni tidak di masukkan dalam pelajaran lain, seni sering di artikan sebagai menyanyi, menari dan melukis padahal seni dapat di integrasikan dalam pembelajaran maematika sebagai contoh gambar seni dapat memberikan pemahaman matematika kepada peserta didik, gambar seni merupakan media pembelajaran yang baik yang akan melahirkan aktivitas pada proses pembelajaran matematika serta memberikan motivasi siswa dalam belajar.

Intergrasi seni dalam pembelajaran matematika dapat meningkatkan prestasi belajar siswa, dengan memanfaatkan imajinasi, kreativitas dan intuisi. selain hal tersebut penerapan seni dalam pembelajaran matematika  memberikan kesempatan dalam berkreasi  dalam memadukan seni dalam belajar matematika. Ketrampilan visual dapat meningkatkan kreatifitas dan imajinasi, dengan demikian siswa dapat meningkatkan aktivitas, minat dan prestasi dalam belajar matematika.
