#10 Explore the Hidden Gems in Amsterdam, City escape, The Local Picks.
Like always I will take you to the best spots in Amsterdam!

Welcome back to this ‘hidden gems’ series of my blog. For the people that don’t know what to expect, it’s simple, I will share the most unique and fun spots in Amsterdam with you. So when you visit this beautiful city you can experience the city like a real local.

The weather is getting better and soon we are able to enjoy my favorite time a year in the city; Summer!
Some people go to the beach outside Amsterdam to enjoy the warm weather, it will take you around 40 minutes to get there. Many others will just meet up with friends and enjoy some drink outside. But where to go to enjoy and have the best spot? My hidden gem is “Pllek” in Amsterdam North.
Is a great combination between the beach and having relaxing drinks. The name translate to simply the Spot and I agree it’s a great spot to enjoy the city.

As mentioned the terrace is located in Amsterdam North, which means you have to take a free ferry from central station to the NDSM dock. Therefore I think this is so much fun for you as a tourist because the ferry is free and you are able to see the city from a different perspective.

Once you step of the ferry Pllek is only a few minutes away. And gives you a change to really enjoy your well-earned drinks and joy.

Hope you liked this post of the hidden gems of Amsterdam. The café can be reached by ferry from central station and it will take around 20 minutes to get there. So if you are sick and tired to walk in crowded streets with more tourist, think about this post and head over to the other side of the city.
I really like it there and to me the free ferry makes it more fun to.

Hi @heyitshaas! I just found your blog, seems interesting post you've shared. I love traveling too. Anyway, How can the ferry is free? That would very nice. tourists must be so happy to visit Amsterdam n Summer is a great season to be there. I guess I should scroll for more posts of yours to know more about this unique fact.

Thanks for stopping by! hope you like the platform! The ferry is offered by the government, its like 5 minutes just to go to the otherside of the city.

That was a wise policy maker to give free charge for the tourist in transportation to promote the tourism in a certain location to be more developed. Great idea. I guess Indonesia should adopt this system one day.
