Seven days ago, I talked about how newsteem and the hype we've seen since HF21 convinced me to change my approach and behaviour. I quickly realized that my [self votes](https://steemit.com/steem/@hitmeasap/newsteem-reason-for-new-behaviour-and-awesomeness) had to stop, as I used to self vote during "oldsteem". With newsteem *(our new approach and mindset)*, I was eager to steer myself on the right track again, and more importantly, on a different route than before.

76 different users have been upvoted during the last 7 days, and I have given them a total of 363 votes. That's ~4.7 votes each. I have **not** noticed any decrease in author rewards since I stopped self-voting, and even though my vote is worth almost nothing, I have been able to reward others a little bit more **instead** of keeping those rewards for myself. No self-votes fits me perfectly (so far), because I have always wanted to reward others, so truth is, that I should probably have stopped voting on my own content a long time ago...

Nine days ago, I wrote that I am going [all in](https://steemit.com/steem/@hitmeasap/all-in-on-tribes-and-staking-tokens-regularly) on Tribes, and I power up or stake 100% of my earnings. I have been focused on #neoxian, #steemleo and #palnet, and even though I obviously haven't made anything life changing, I am **very** satisfied with the results so far.

My Neoxag for instance, is worth 11 Steem if I would've sold all of it on [Steem-engine](https://steem-engine.com/?p=market&t=NEOXAG). My Leo tokens are worth 28 Steem and my PAL is worth 5.1 at the time I'm writing this. This basically means that I **could** have sold these tokens for Steem instead, and that would've given me a total of 40+ Steem. Still, not life changing by any means, but it quickly adds up.

Each time I use any of those tags, I earn **something**, and I think it's awesome to earn both Steem, neoxag, pal and leo tokens at the same time, for the same post. Especially as authors are making **less** than before HF21 due to the reward changes. Tribes gives me the opportunity to earn **more** for the same amount of work, and I think it's an **awesome** "compensation" for the reduced author rewards, which many newcomers and "lesser accounts" complains heavily about.

My goal right now is to upvote ~100 unique Steemians each week, regardless of the stake I have, and eventually, with time, scale things up even further.

Who knows, I might not be able to reward you much in terms of Steem for my upvotes, but with luck & time combined, you might actually earn more through any of these Tribes instead... And you will definitely earn **something** for your contributions, as long as you are using Tribes.

So, that's it for my first "0% self-vote week". I look forward to week 2, 3, 4 and each week after that. I really like #newsteem and I **truly** hope it will continue in the same pace.  We have a long way to go, but #newsteem seems to be the most solid foundation we've had in a very long time.
