*Star Wars: Lost Stars* was written by Claudia Gray and published in 2015.  The novel depicts the events of the original trilogy from the through the eyes of Thane Kyrell and Ciena Ree, two young Imperial Officers. The story begins as the two are children on the Outer Rim planet of Jelucan, and the through their training  at the Imperial Academy. The remainder of the story follows the two as they live within the events that occur from *Rogue One, A New Hope, Empire Strikes Back, and Return of the Jedi*.

I had no idea of what the story was about, and pleasantly surprised as I read the book. It was a fresh look at the Star Wars universe from the eyes of people that were part of the Empire.

The book is very well written and the characters of Thane Kyrell and Ciena Ree are amazing. The novel is all about the development of the two characters, and watching them grow from children to adults , as a part of the Star Wars universe, was entertaining. I was transfixed as the years of their life passed through each chapter, and I could not wait to read the next chapter.

I highly recommend you read *Star Wars: Lost Stars* if you are a Star Wars fan like me.
