##  Why do I embrace the idea of fully organically posts? </h2>

 **It gets harder and harder to differentiate what the community thinks is a good post and what the authors thinks is a good post. Everyone can look at their work and say "Yeah, that should at least be 100 dollars". By promoting other opportunities for people to take different paths it is my hope to move people away from this market and start growing their account and posts in an organic and healthy way for the platform. While I do believe promotions has its uses for special scenarios, it is far from necessary for the average steemian** 

*Without further a due let's proceed to the real part of the article, In each article, I will go into depth about 1 new opportunity to find extra payouts as an organic author!*

## This episode: Are you using the right tags?

Most of the other articles included tricks for increasing your payout mostly by using other platforms or initiatives to your advantage. But a basic yet important trick remains: the usage of our beloved "tags"

If you have been on Steemit for a long time, it is probably no secret back then that in order to get the most exposure you would be tagging your post with the most common once that gave the most exposure such as "life", "steemit", "travel" etc. 

But time has changed and now deciding what tag to use and **when** has gotten a whole lot more complicated(for the better). Because now it is not just about using the tags that say "I give the most payout statistically", now it about knows what you write about and find out if there are any "tags" that would benefit you from this decision usually supported by individuals or small groups.

## <center> Why exactly you should specialise your tags? </center> </h2>

There are many people who are have created their own tag and some of these guys are doing it to better find the people they want to support. Some of these guys have a huge amount of SP and are gladly giving you an upvote if your article is good and are relevant to their tag. Some use bots, but most of them are actual people manually curating for the better. Hell, even some of them require you to get into "the club" before they even deem you worthy. Let us take a look at a few examples:

**travelfeed**: If you are a traveler, use the "travelfeed" tag and you are almost bound to get an upvote IF you make some great travel-related content. Personally, I think 80% of the times I have been writing about travel and used their tag, they have rewarded me one way or another. Also, you can be lucky to get more exposure from their resteems and weekly roundups of the weeks best articles. There's a lot of value to use this tag in place (or together) with the original "travel" tag.

**steemstem**: Are you a genius? then steemstem might be for you! @steemstem rewards those people who write about engineering, mathematics and science. I personally have been thinking of using this tag since I have a little "cosmos" nerd within me and often been considering taking the step to make some cool articles about it. @steemstem really got some hard punching SP behind them and anyone receiving one their votes should be happy! Also, how cool is it that some people actually decided to support the knowledge of science? **love it**!

 **tasteem:** I first saw this tag being used by @slobberchops and it seems to work out well for him. You need to use a little more than just the "tasteem" tag. You also have to participate in their website. Basically rewarding people for writing a restaurant review/guide and adding it "on the block". ## Use your tags wisely! </h2>

These are just a few examples in an ocean of tags you can use for different purpose. My message here is to make some research if there is a certain topic you like to write about regularly and go look around if there are any specific tags that could potentially help your posts a bit(if not a lot)! 

It can be hard sometimes to find out if there are any of these "tag" initiatives out there, sometimes it can be found through google, other times you can go into a certain topic like "travel" and sometimes check out what tags people are using. This is almost an art in itself to find out what tags exists and if anyone got some recommendations on how to do this please write in the comments below to help fellow steemians out!
