But, why don't you pray for a change of heart for the person? I think that would go a long way. * **Another thing is you need not to consider yourself alone.** This life exists because you and others are co-existing in it, so, the betterment of others can lead to yours too, John 3 vs. 16 says it all, if you truly understand the love of God and his son to all creature on earth, then you have no reasons not to love others. In a short word, you need to be a loving person if you want God to shower you blessings of the loved ones.
