*The internet is a wide network of computers all around the globe that communicate via the internet protocol and serves as a medium for storage of various data and information. It is no news that the internet, although beneficial in several ways has, over the past few years, been abused. This post is for you who knows about the various ways in which teenagers, even adults, abuse the internet and are willing to try to deny your students exposure to the life of abuse at a tender age. The following are the ways through which you can keep the internet safe for use by students.*

*First of all the ways by which you can make the internet safe is through age restriction. Here, the students are only allowed to enter certain sites if they are above a certain age limit which is preset by the operaror. This age, usually eighteen(18) years is considered the age when an individual has become an adult and is in some ways free to do as he pleases.*

*Next on the list is Filters. Filters can be set such that only certain types of results will be displayed when an indicidual searches the internet. The other results which have been deemed inapropriate or harmful by an authority in the school or at home will be automatically blocked and your student will have absolutely no access to those kinds of information.*

*Thirdly is the physical restriction, where a security personal, usually an older individual is installed to physically monitor the online activities of the students. Such an individual will be responsible for preventing the students from visiting inappropriate and harmful websites and also guide the students in accessimg the required websites for school work and home work.*

**Finally, nothing beats talking to the students about the dangers of misappropriating the internet because it is better to instill morals in the student than to install security measures.**
